The iframe-based approach essentially just means applications can be hosted anywhere.. This makes it possible to easily adapt / extend existing applications for the Hub (e.g. Marketo) as well as provide customers / partners with additional flexibility (Hub applications can be written in any language on any platform, many already have their own hosting arrangements, etc.).
That said, the iframe-based approach and application hosting are not mutually exclusive. In the future, we may provide and/or partner to provide hosting options as well, but that is not currently a big focus.
Thanks for the feedback!

I would love to know more about the future of the platform. It’s very interesting to me that the concept of the fuel platform is around APIs and not hosting. Do not get me wrong. I will love to work with the new API, but to me a platform is more than just a robust API and access to an Iframe. I have better hopes for this.
